HCT, have you tried disabling other plugins you may have installed? (just for one poller cycle). The only times I've seen this is when another plugin has an error, and as a result nothing following it is run at all. The problem before has been with Reports. I've just been reminded by another thread here.HCT wrote:i replaced to the full path in the editor config but it didn't work, i may can trace the problem if i know which part of the code is responsible for reading the config file and producing the images. .

Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.

Hi Howie,
I try to install your wathermap by using plugin.
Altough I runcommand I dont see any map in cacti-weathermap tab.
I check the logs, I see:
plugins/
weathermap/*
and cactiuser:users in
weathermap/output / ( actually I tried nobody:nobody couples. buta result was same)
As result,
I get This map hasn't been created yet messages in weathermap tab
have you any suggestion about this problem?

Code: Select all
--config /var/www/html/cacti/plugins/weathermap/configs/backbone.conf --htmloutput /var/www/html/cacti/plugins/weathermap/output/backbone.html --output /var/www/html/cacti/plugins/weathermap/images/backbone.png
I check the logs, I see:
the permissions is nobody:nobody in:09/06/2006 10:15:03 AM - WEATHERMAP: Poller[0] Output directory (/var/www/html/cacti/plugins/weathermap/output) isn't writable (tried to create '/var/www/html/cacti/plugins/weathermap/output/weathermap.permissions.test'). No maps created. You probably need to make it writable by the poller process (like you did with the RRA directory)

As long as your poller runs as cactiuser, then that should let it create maps... you *might* need to make sure that the directory is readable by the webserver's user. However you wouldn't see that error in the logs then, only no maps.TFC wrote:Hi Howie,

Just to be sure, is the output directory actually empty? (apart from the deleteme file)

which commands?? You shouldn't need to change the crontab for a running cacti. The poller does all the work.TFC wrote:I think I solve the problem
Now I have to add these commands into crontab

You use the Manage..Weathermaps to tell it which config files exist. Please read the installation guide and the Cacti Plugin guide (in the weathermap manual)TFC wrote:Really?
Is poller understand which config file exists?
