I've got a problem with cacti. My graphs don't appear. I just see the tittle of the graph, with a link, but not the graph itself and even less the background or the tally.
A screenshot would help
One thing is weird too. After having create a device, my cacti doesn't see their state, their state is always Unknown.
What cacti version and what settings of "Downed Host Detection"?
and last point (but not the least) I don't see snmp request with ethereal on my pc, ,but my snmpd is enable and my pc answers to snmp request (for example a snmpwalk request )

[My configuration is php5 and the last cacti. ]

Thanks for your help

You won't need even snmpd to be started to gather data. SNMP client is needed only (unless you want to request data from localhost, of course). Are you gathering data for remote hosts when capturing with ethereal/wireshark?

I think I have identified my problem.
In fact, I've seen that I haven't got any rrd files created. I don't know how fix it.

when I list the directory /var/lib/cacti/rra, thre is nothing
root@cacti-desktop:/var/lib/cacti/rra# ll
total 0

I remember that when my cacti worked properly, the answer was :
root@cacti-desktop:/var/lib/cacti/rra# ll
total 816

Ok, in this case
- check permissions on /rra (as stated in the installation manual)
- check, whether crontab runs the cacti poller
- check /log/cacti.log when running in DEBUG mode
- have a look at my "NaN Debugging" howto for more tips and tricks
