But tree table is not empty - so problem is show data in tree panel.
Here is 2 ways:
1 - You install firebug extension in FF and we are go to search error or see AJAX response
2 - You send to me mysql dump of [plugin_snmptt_tree] table in PM/email.
Now I work on adding syslog messages viewer in plugin and have time to fix You problem too.

update...
I upgraded to the latest version of the plugin and now the tree is working again. It does show up a little different then expected though.
Current tree looks like this:
Traps
+ IP: hostname1
+ IP: hostname2
+ IP: hostname3
+ Type: Cisco Router
++ Host: Hostname4
Is that how the tree should look? I expected this:
Traps
+ IP: hostname1
+ IP: hostname2
+ IP: hostname3
+ IP: hostname4

Yes, this is right.
If in trap filed 'hostname' == devices 'hostname', so we know device name and device host template.
If 'hostname' != devices 'hostname' => no device info used and trap show in tree panel like IP:xxxxxx

marker number
Thanks again for all your help.
Quick question:
In the new version, a rule can mark a trap. What number should I put in that field? What is the benefit to using this?

Mark is integer less 20.
Used to graph count of marked traps. Read this thread one page ago.

hmmm....
It says I can't leave the "message" field blank when creating a rule. So how do I make the email message contain the trap message?
Re: hmmm....
rule["email_message"] != trap["format_message"]computer_guru wrote:It says I can't leave the "message" field blank when creating a rule. So how do I make the email message contain the trap message?
Just fill it with "0000000" string. In next version this filed will be with
Code: Select all
allow blank=true

ok
So I can put in seven 0's or I can upgrade to the new version after you release it. Both solutions should email me the message that is generated from the snmp trap. Correct?

When i put in zeros like you suggested this is what I get:
-----------------------------------------------
Hostname : server_name
Date : 2008-12-20 11:32:12
EventName :
TrapOid : alertControllerInformation
Category :
Severity :
Message :
0000000000
I still don't get the trap message in my email. Any ideas?
