P.S: nice map.

I have a script launched by crontab which prepare some data, create the config files and download the graphs.

Code: Select all

wget -O plugins/weathermap/temp/sqls_q.png "http://192.168.10.231/cacti/graph_image.php?local_graph_id=593&rra_id=0&graph_height=80&graph_width=250&graph_nolegend=true&view_type=tree"
then the weathermap just use that as an image

Code: Select all

NODE graph_sqls_q
 POSITION 1060 630
 ICON temp/sqls_q.png
 INFOURL {map:cacti_url}graph.php?action=view&rra_id=all&local_graph_id=593
Ps : you could also use rrdtools to generate the graphs directly without calling on cacti, you may want to check that :http://wotsit.thingy.com/haj/cacti/rrd-stripgraph.html

Hello, dont know if you're still around, if not I'm hoping someone else can answer my question.
How did you made the faded links between devices?

Simple... Use faded colours for the scale :-) You don't have to use bright colours.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Thanks Howie.
Quick question, the twoway linkstyle doesnt seem to work for me.
Below is part of the config:

LINK node09331-rd
LINKSTYLE twoway
VIASTYLE angled
NODES node09331 rd
VIA 327 519

@ Howie : I want to have 2 lines(links) between 2 nodes.

LINKSTYLE twoway is the default style. Exactly as you posted. Please could you open a new topic and we can discuss what you expected :-)

Howie : I was trying to make parallel links between 2 nodes :). But I managed to do it reading your example on weathermap site. 'Tho I had to try few offsets before I was able to make 2 perfect parallel links.
Thank you for this "awesome-the-world-would-be-poorer-without-it" plugin.

New weathermap. What's changed from my last map is that I used two and triple via's and angled viastyle.

My newest creation in Cacti. Firewall map...
It is the second biggest map (in terms of complexity) in our Cacti infrastructure and it only took about 1 month of on/off work to complete. Runtime 3.6sec on latest SVN 626

Features:
All icons/text labels change color depending on UP/DOWN/RECOVERING/DISABLED status in Cacti
Monitoring of all FIREWALLS and Venus management servers.
Tracking of critical parameters such as FW uptime, TOP interfaces, CPU usage and connection statistics.
Creation of this map required a development of customized templates in Cacti to track FAILOVER status of both Checkpoint and CISCO ASA firewalls.

Nice one, can you please tell me the font used to render the map? The part with percentages and INSIDE/OUTSIDE, etc.

Another good example of weathermap capabilities. This map took about a 1.5 month to create.. It was a very tedious work
