I receive these two errors when selecting Auto-create thresholds:
Warning: main(D:\www\infrastructure\cacti\lib/thold-functions.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\www\infrastructure\cacti\thold.php on line 18
Warning: main() [function.include]: Failed opening 'D:\www\infrastructure\cacti\lib/thold-functions.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in D:\www\infrastructure\cacti\thold.php on line 18
Fatal error: Call to undefined function autocreate() in D:\www\infrastructure\cacti\thold.php on line 40
I'm running Cacti 0.8.6d on W2K with PHP version 5.
Any suggestions?

got that fixed - did not install it properly to begin with...oharel: Go under user_Management / select the user / make sure 'View Thresholds' is selected under Realm Permissions. Is 'thresholds' available on the left side of the console screen? Can you view them manually under http://[cacti_url]/graph_thold.php ? It is possible that the files did not get installed properly

can't send email in window with thold
I got everything to work correctly in window, except sending an email. I was wondering where is the file that trigger the email alert. I know you say that php uses the default email to send email, could this be outlook express. I am stuck and don't know where to go. Can anyone guide me to the right direction. Thanks.

How to use Syslog on Windows Server (part 2)
After investigating i've found that the messages end up in my Eventlog on Windows.
But i want to use the syslog, not the eventlog.
This seems to be the default behaviour of PHP.
from PHP manual:

I wrote it, so first pass is no. However, what syslog utility are you using? If you had to execute it, how would you do it?

Syslog daemon on windows
TheWitness:
We use Kiwi Syslog daemon ( http://www.kiwisyslog.com/ )
I've found a workaround: used NTsyslog ( sends all eventlog messages to a syslog server ).
Works fine.

Good. So that is a tool that replicates what is sent to the various logs to a syslog facility?
