If you look in the logs, you'd see that Weathermap is complain about these targets:
TARGET gague:/var/www/cacti/rra/gigswitcha_traffic_in_1896.rrd:int_status:-

because it's gauge: not gague: :-)
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.

OMG are you kidding I had a spelling mistake.

I feel so bad now :(

Now I have one more issue, all of my gauge items are reporting the same thing in the logs,

ReadData: NODE gigB37, target: gauge:/var/www/cacti/rra/gigswitchb_traffic_in_1722.rrd:int_status:- on config line 1900 of /var/www/cacti/plugins/weathermap/configs/switchPorts.conf had no valid data, according to WeatherMapDataSource_rrd

I know the path is correct so that is not what is breaking it.

you mind sharing that script and how you got it setup. i have a vast array of large enterprise core switches i would like to do this on, but can't for the life of me get it working and i have been at this particular issue for several months but don't want to give up on it.

thanks,

Jeff

Here you go, its customized for my switches(position, id graphs, etc) but you should be able to modify it according to your needs.

I finally got around to building my weathermap for my home network and lab. Still playing with the options available. Awesome tool!

Hi,

Just thought I would upload my heatmap. We find it quite a useful tool in our data centre, gives us a nice plan view, instant graphs when hovering over a temp, and quick URL links to our basestations.

We also use the background image as a basis for a CCTV map, this has CCTV icons at camera locations. When we hover over the icons a live feed appears. Very handy for our unmanned rooms on the otherside of the site :)

As well as the network maps just wondering if anyone was using weathermaps for any other types of maps???

Cheers

Andy

PS. I have deleted some of the text from the image.

I use it for temperature maps too, as well as the status of our CRAC & chiller units, generators, UPS etc.

I also have one to show the current status of call forwarding for various helpdesk numbers. A few php scripts and Asterisk allow the service desk manager to re-route incoming DIDs to different locations.
