[SOLVED] Graphics aren't displayed

Post by creposukre »

Hi, :D
i've got a problem, i configured cacti correctly in order to monitor my server, when i go into the "View Cacti Log File" section, every line is green :
"05/12/2007 12:46:34 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:3.8940 Method:cmd.php Processes:1 Threads:N/A Hosts:2 HostsPerProcess:2 DataSources:17 RRDsProcessed:10"
Except when i display the warnings :
05/12/2007 06:10:02 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[2] DS[17] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result:
and in the "View SNMP Cache" section everything is alright (Host, Index, and OID) but graphs doesn't shows up. I just got magnifying glasses and the title of my graphs in the "Graphs" section. :o
In fact, i wished to monitor my Windows Server 2003 SBS with cacti, so i installed Windows SNMP+WMI and i tested it with Cacti on Linux/Apache and it worked perfectly 8) (except for the logs where i get the same warning) but it's not very convenient because it means i got one more machine. :-?
So i decided to put Cacti on my Win2003SBS,
and i followed this well done tutorial : http://cacti.net/downloads/docs/html/in ... ndows.html and averything goes right except for the graphics (and the logs).
Can you help me ?

Operating System: Windows 2003 SBS
Webserver: IIS 6.0
Cacti: 0.8.6j
Cactid: 0.8.6i
MySQL: 4.1.22
PHP: 5.1.6
RRDTool (Cygwin or Win32 version): 1.2.15
Net-SNMP: 5.4.0
Cygwin (cygwin1.dll version): 1.5.20

Thanks beforehand,
Matthieu.

PS: My English may not be correct, be indulgent, i'm french.

I spend a whole night trying to figure out my problem and it works..., i've got the graphs with data inside 8) but there's no scale and no titles :o , i just can see the curves.
Image
Logs are the same. :-?
In fact i erased everything i've done and i recommenced since the beginning, but i put php 5.2.0 instead of 5.1.6, net-snmp 5.3.1 instead of 5.4.0 and i deleted cactid and cygwin.

Any idea what's happening ??
Any solution ?
Please help me

Matthieu

1) make sure you've got the correct rrdtool version set in settings.
2) try changing the graph viewing mode to Tree or something else.

My RRDTool is 1.2.15 and i set 1.2.x in my settings which is a correct parameter. Moreover the graph viewing mode doesn't change anything.
I will try to set RRDTool version to the other value to see if anything changes and i'll give results in the evening. :-?

Thank you for your answer. :D

Matthieu.

I tried to set RRDTool to version 1.0.x in the settings menu but i got red crosses...so it's worse.
I reset the parameter to 1.2.x so i can see the graphs, but still without scales and titles.

If you have any idea to get me out of this problem, answer me plz.

Regards,
Matthieu.

Hello,
I have remove all the graph templates and I can't take them back.
I think, I have to recreate my cacti database but I am not sure?
what do you think about it?

Yes, since you're just getting stuff set up, just reinstall the database. Otherwise, you'd have to get someone to export all of their templates.

Do you have the font set properly. I am pretty sure that i had this problem to start with, and i had to change my font path to:

Code: Select all

C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\tahoma.ttf
That fixed all of my problems with no titles etc showing up in the graphs.

hope that helps

Hello!
I have just a little question about graphs on cacti.
When i click on a device, I have a red cross instead of my graphs. but when I click on one of them, I have my graphs... So i don't know if it is normal or want. so if you have any idea please tell me.
And i have done the tahoma.ttf thing

I resolved my problem. It was just that I hadn't put the right RRDTool version in my settings.

Thx at all. wishing that this would help someone one day.
