IP based bandwidth

Post by torment »

Hi,

We have a problem with one of our customer. We have a Metro Ethernet link with 400 MB and one of our customer wants us to provide 200 MB Internet connectivity via that Metro Ethernet link.Their AS is different from us and we provide peering service to that customer.Thats why i announce their AS to the Internet so we should share our one Internet link also i can limit that customer Internet traffic via my router but i want to know that if possible, can i see their Internet traffic based on their IP addresses on one link via Cacti?

Thanks

Netflow can collect the data for you, if you use Cisco routers (sFlow on Foundry/Extreme is similar). There are tools to get data from Netflow data into rrd files. Search here for netflow to find some more info though.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Ah, you didn't mention Juniper before :-)

Don't they do sFlow or Netflow in their routers? (or is it a Netscreen?)

A quick google suggests they do Netflow. I don't think Netscreens do though.
