Can't login using admin/admin.

Post by Azoff »

I have used cacti for some time, but now I can't login using the 'admin' login anymore. I have reset the password to 'admin' again using the row in the FAQ, but still I can't login.

When I type admin/admin in the form I just get back to the loginpage and it says
Invalid User Name/Password Please Retype:
Please enter your cacti user name and password below:
I have been debuging the scripts that runs during login, and the only thing I can find that are as it shouldn't be is that $HTTP_SESSION_VARS['user_id'] is NULL and therefor $user_id is it too. If I force it to be '1' (admin) I get some errors in mysql (this should be so I think).

I am running GNU/Debian Sarge (testing) and the "binary" package.
ii apache 1.3.27.0-2 Versatile, high-performance HTTP server
ii php4 4.1.2-6 A server-side, HTML-embedded scripting langu
ii cacti 0.6.8a-13.1 Frontend to rrdtool for monitoring systems a
ii mysql-server 4.0.16-2 mysql database server binaries

ahh, after a good night sleep I finaly found what did this error.

After I checked auth_login.php I found that the "hostname" in auth_hosts are matched with == and then I can't add like 10.1.0.0/24 as a host. Maybe this could be something to think of? Or make a point that it *must* be one ip/host and not a domain.

Finaly, this is a greate software! Please continue makeing my life easyer :)
