Larry -

All seems to work well. I'm still using the PERL poller, which seems to work ok, but the SNMP one has never worked properly on this revision.

I still don't see any entries in the drop down lists within the DEVICES view as shown (only for SELECT A SITE, and the dro-down next to it)

When these drop down lists are clicked, they are all empty. The version before the one with all your changes seems to work ?

THanks

Ok,

Well I'll get to it maybe during the week. The code should be a bit more readable but not completely fixed yet.

You need to obtain using SVN. Hear is a good address. If using Windows, use Tortoise SVN.

svn://cvs.cacti.net/var/svnroot/cacti_plugins

Hi Larry,

Cosmetically, the changes are great. However, I have found a small problem. When using your newer version, the selected site and group name seems to default to a particular site (in my case, it's one in the middle east !). I changed this to the correct site and group, but when I go back into the device, it has reverted back to what it was before.

Also, the poller doesn't seem to work properly anymore with the new version. I recall you mentioning that you were going to look at this at a later date, but is there any reason you can think of as to why this would stop working ? I expect it's because you've changed a lot of the code ?

Thanks

I have not changed the polling backend. As far at the whole Group/Site model and how it works, you and I have to do a GotoMeeting when I get back into town so that I can understand how it's supposed to work :)

Then we can do some serious fix/redesign. I am in San Jose till the end of the week.

Hello

First Thanks for this great plugin.
I installed it and everything seems to work great.
Alerting works. UP/DOWN works.
There are only some Errors in my cacti log.

Code: Select all

 04/18/2007 09:06:37 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] ERROR: SQL Exec Failed "delete FROM `manage_process` where id='61' and LOWER(name) not in (SELECT LOWER(value) FROM data_template_data,data_local,data_input_data,snmp_query WHERE data_local.id=data_template_data.local_data_id and data_local.host_id='61' and data_input_data.data_template_data_id=data_template_data.id and snmp_query.id=data_input_data.data_input_field_id and snmp_query.name='SNMP - Running Processes')"
04/18/2007 09:06:37 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] ERROR: SQL Exec Failed "delete FROM `manage_process` where id='80' and LOWER(name) not in (SELECT LOWER(value) FROM data_template_data,data_local,data_input_data,snmp_query WHERE data_local.id=data_template_data.local_data_id and data_local.host_id='80' and data_input_data.data_template_data_id=data_template_data.id and snmp_query.id=data_input_data.data_input_field_id and snmp_query.name='SNMP - Running Processes')"
04/18/2007 09:06:37 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] ERROR: SQL Exec Failed "delete FROM `manage_services` where id='61' and oid not in (select data_local.snmp_index from data_input_data, data_template_data, data_local, data_template where data_input_data.data_input_field_id=(SELECT distinct(data_input_fields.id) FROM data_input, data_input_fields where data_input.type_id = 6 and data_input_fields.data_input_id=data_input.id and data_input_fields.name='Index Value') and data_input_data.data_template_data_id=data_template_data.id and data_template_data.local_data_id=data_local.id and data_template_data.data_template_id=data_template.id and data_template.name='Win Services' and data_local.host_id=61)"
04/18/2007 09:06:36 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] ERROR: SQL Exec Failed "delete FROM `manage_process` where id='77' and LOWER(name) not in (SELECT LOWER(value) FROM data_template_data,data_local,data_input_data,snmp_query WHERE data_local.id=data_template_data.local_data_id and data_local.host_id='77' and
I am sure these errors have something todo with the services and processes,
because the tables they want to delete things in are emtpy.

And i get this error in the device tab of the mangage plugin.
There where services should be.

Code: Select all

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/cacti2/plugins/manage/list.php on line 967
And if i klick on a host in the manage plugin.
The graphs are shown in preview mode.
The strange thing is that if i klick on normal graphs afterwards.
The tree-mode is gone and all graphs are shown in previewmode until i log out and log in again.

strange.

Sounds like you are some tables missing. Can you click manage then settings, and the click the debug link. This will give you a list of tables - post the output here.

That's odd.

1. Click the MANAGE tab in your CACTI
2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, and click the SETTINGS link

You should see something along the lines of the below.

Just looking at the output you have already posted, it looks like you are running v4 - is this correct ?

Let me know how you get on
