SNMP Oid Graphing Problem

If anyone can help I would much appreciate it very much! I followed "My First Graph Template" to graph a Snmp OID but having issues. The OID returns a number between 20,000 and 60,000 but the graph is showing < 40? I am not using any cdef functions and used the Counter type and set a maximum of of 400,000. I did a TCPdump and do see the correct value when the snmp oid is polled, so What did I do wrong??

I believe it is set up correctly and the scale on the left side of the graph is showing number x1000, so 20 would be 20,000 and 40 would be 40,000.

Thanks for the reply but we never go below 20,000 (All should be between 2 0 and 60 if your theory was correct) so I know the graph is not correct. Also When I drill down no where does it indicate kilo.

Any other Ideas

Two things:

1) If you want rrdtool to display the actual count of fw connections, then you should use GAUGE instead of COUNTER in the data template.

2) Otherwise, rrdtool is displaying the average number of fw connections over the last 5 minutes ( (data now - data last time) / 5 minutes). Read more on the documentation site about rrdtool consolidation, etc.
