missed Threshold alerts when device was down

Post by bizval »

Where can I find the threshold logs? I have set a threshold alert on a device. but no threshold email was send during the down time. Is there any comments/settings to set the threshold alert?

There is a log/thold.log file, as long as permissions were setup properly. Or if you have syslogging enabled, you could find it there.

Thold currently does not alert you on thresholds when the host is down (I guess I can make it an option). If the host is down, you have bigger issues then how much data is being sent through your pipe. You will need to setup a way to monitor whether the host is down, and receive alerts on that also.
