ntop plugin question
Does the ntop plugin just allow you to view ntop data from within cacti? I would still have to install ntop and have it running not associated with cacti correct? Thanks!

It creates a tab for ntop that allows you to view an ntop interface within the Cacti framework. You specify the url for ntop under the settings tab.
So, yes, you would need to install ntop on a server, but not necessarily the Cacti server if you do not want to.

ok, that makes sense, I am running Cacti on windows serv2003 right now, but if I was to run ntop, I would probably run it on a Linux box, nice to know I can have them be totally seperate. Thanks!
