Naming on Data Queries is controlled through the suggested naming section of the Data Query.

1) Goto Data Queries
2) Select your Data Query
3) Select the appropriate Graph Template
4) Reorder your Suggested Names to make the one you want (for all your devices) to be prefered ahead of the one that is winning out.

Remember, suggested naming works like Index selection, if tries to name everything well. If not, it goes down the list to the next "good" match.

don't know if i have missed the intent here but have you tried changing the device description under the device properties to "HP4108 GL - Lotus Notes Server" rather than just "HP4108 GL"

When I do the same thing the graph disappears altogether. I am able to do this at home but at work I cant figure it out. I installed both system the same.
The only way I can get the graph back is I have to Delete the device and reinstall in.

The better way to change graph titles, especially for the ones which come with cacti, is to modify the existing Data Input method (snmp - interface stats in this case). Then edit the Associated Graph template, and change the Suggested Names values. Lastly, from graph management, select 'reapply suggested graph names' and your changes should take affect.

BSOD2600 wrote: Sun Apr 01, 2007 10:45 pm Once again, you need to enable graph title editing in the graph template first (by checking the box under title). Then all graphs which use that template will let you change the title under graph management.

Solved.
