Problems with user permisions and "Tree View"

Post by santisaez »

Dear Folks,

I want to give a user acess to some swich port stats, but not all the ports.

The user options/permisions are avaliable in those Cacti screenshots:

The switch port stats are under "Switches" tree, and the user has permision for this item at "Tree permisions".

When logging with this user I have no problems to see the stats.. but I think that there is a little bug:

- If a change the view to "List" or "Preview" and then try to see again "Tree" view, making click on "Graphs" or "Tree View" links (URL = /graph_view.php?action=tree) I get no stats, examples:

The problem is solved giving to the user access all to the "Host" (all the switch) but I dont want to give access to all the switch por stats..

Is there a a way to avoid this small trouble? thanks!!

Regards,

Play with the permission settings on a test box and you will find then quite formidable.
