Many thanks for the HP-UX templates, I'm using them on ia64 where Net-SNMP doesn't want to build.

need to fix the units for SWAP
These are great templates... I must agree though can we get someone with the know-how to post a new template for SWAP which has the unit's fixed... my server with 1.5 GB of SWAP is showing up as 1.5MB....
If not a new template can someone post a walkthrough on how to make these changes directly in cacti.

HPUX CPU Usage
Hi,
What is mean of m, n and u in GPRINT item in HPUX CPU usage graph?
Thanks a lot!

I've not tried the templates on HPUX Ia64, but on HP-UX Parisc at least there is no need to use NetSNMP. The template for hpux hosts was designed to be used with the standard hpux SNMPd.fmangeant wrote:Many thanks for the HP-UX templates, I'm using them on ia64 where Net-SNMP doesn't want to build.
Please post here if it work ok for IA64.
This is not true for Solaris, where you need to be running NetSNMP for the template to be fully working, as the standard solaris snmpd won't report enough information (that is too bad I think!)
Problems with Solaris9
hello,
I am using Solaris9 and trying to get all the possible information available through SNMP beigh graphed by cacti. I've downloaded the templates you've made. My snmpd configuration is as simple as possible. Im just defining get and set communities, so I shouldn't be restricting type of data queries by any means, right?
The problem is, that Im not getting anything except interface traffic graphed. I've tried both Linux host and Solaris host, but all the same. CPU is nan and everything else 0.00. Any suggestions?

Re: Problems with Solaris9
You need to install NetSNMPd. You can also use NetSNMP with Solaris SNMP agent.Jent wrote:hello,

error in DS template ucd_ssCpuRawWait
After investigating a lot of errrors like this:
I figured out what is wrong: There is a trailing whitespace behind the OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.54.0 in Data Source template ucd_ssCpuRawWait.
I removed the whitespace and the problem went away
Code: Select all
ERROR: Problems parsing Multi SNMP OID! (oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.54.0 )
I removed the whitespace and the problem went away
Just trying these templates out myself, I'm really interested in being able to use cacti with our HPUX production boxes, unfortunately it seems like the main queries (processes, uptime, memory, etc) are all returning 0, but the graphs are being created.
The LAN stats and disk statistic stats aren't even being created, they just stay red-x'd.
The verbose query looks right, its finding all of my file systems:
There aren't any errors in the logs, but there are an awful lot of these entries for both the Linux and HPUX box I'm trying to use this template with:
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Yes, I followed the INSTALL file, both hpux_lan and hpux_fs xml files are in snmp_queries, and the system does see all of the file systems in the verbose query, but for some reason the graphs aren't being created for the file system, and all of the other graphs never collect data.
I just turned my logging to debug level for the next polling interval, hopefully that will give me more information.

After reading the thread, I tried everything again from scratch and it worked PERFECTLY.rprague wrote:I'm unable to get these scripts working with the latest .j release of cacti, does anyone have an updated set? I would love to get some of my HPUX stuff into cacti.
Thanks so much for these templates.
