Syslog/Haloe Plug-in with custom Mysql DB port

Post by smilerza »

Currently we have several different instances of Mysql running on the same server.. all on different ports. The Mysql instance for the syslog database is listening on 3305.

How can I config the syslog aka haloe config file = config.php to use the custom mysql port?

Basically I'm looking for the same setup as in the config.php for Cacti DB config which has the following option : $database_port = "3305";

Thanks!

I think SysLog uses mainly the MySQL php calls and not ADODB. Therefore, you will have to add that information to the syslog database login. So, look for the connect and make your changes there. Once you find out how to do this, send an e-mail with your patch to jimmy at sqmail dot org.

Thanks,
