network devices from enterasys

Post by jmit »

Hello,

I need templates for several enterasys devices. We have following network devices from Enterasys/Cabletron: SSR8, SSR16, N3, E7 and E1.

I think I use the wrong templates in Cacti, bcause I only can control linux clients, or have I also an other problem? Is there anyone who has/had this problem?

Thank you very much for every help

Hi

Here's some templates I've created for Enterasys E7 modules.

There's a Host Template, some data templates and graph templates that do CPU, Memory & Temperature as well as using the Generic SNMP Interface Template for interfaces.

When I try to import this script I get the following error: Error: XML: Hash version does not exist.

They have been exported in the latest version 0.8.6j

You'll need to upgrade to this version to import them

Ah ok. I did this and am able to import it now. It just doesn't work with my Matrix C2. Does anyone have a template for this switch? I tried to make one but I'm not able to get it to work. I've tried using OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.16.1.1.1.5 but nothing is being graphed.

I'm trying to graph network statatistics (bytes in/out) with this OID, but I'm not even 100% positive that's the right one.... Does anyone have a template for the Matrix C2 switch to view CPU and memory usage, network stats, port (or IP) bandwidth usage, etc.?

Do you have to OIDs? I have the walkthroughs, and, in this case, I will create those templates on my own and share them with you. I only need the correct OIDs

Hi Gandalf,

I just got a SSR8000 and a XSR-3150 into SNMP reachability.
What would you need?
Basically the Information of the MIBs are all on the Enterasys webpage.

Cheers

Enterasys SecureStacks don't give CPU usage data over SNMP. No chance.
I have a workaround to get this data via telnet - but it's quick and dirty and not good enough to be published.

I tried the host template for Enterasys E7 but nothing is graphed into my cacti (with other device like Nortel Alteon and Cisco 3750 no problem).
I use the template for the Enterasys E7 with SNMP v1 because with SNMP v2c (the version that is used with E7) I'm not able to estabilish an SNMP data exchange.
Is that the problem?
