Graphing cat /proc/net/ip_contrack | wc -l via SNMP

Post by voona »

Hi,

What would be the best way to acheive this via SNMP? For anyone thats confused, basically i need to cat a file, get a numerical value and be able to grab this via SNMP from another server for graphing

Thanks

Hi

you can follow the HowTo in my signature.

Basically, you'll have to add a line to snmpd.conf on the target host, and you'll then be able to graph the value in Cacti.
