I don't see graph after Cactid installation.

Hi,

My Graph have been stopped since i installed Cactid on my server.

I have set my cactid poller file path as :

/usr/local/cactid/cactid

Where first cactid is the directory where all unzipped files of cactid are stored and next cactid is the file i thought of as poller file and set the path.

is that right??

I also found three files name poller.h, poller.c and poller.? , which one should i choose.

Note: I have chosen Cactid as poller in Poller settings and One minute graph as default seen.

Please clarify.........

When running "make" to compile cactid, you will create a new executable file named "cactid". Put this one e.g. into /usr/bin or wherever you like.
Remember to setup cactid.conf and save it at e.g. /etc/cactid.conf
Or put both into current cacti working directory (I don't like this, personally)

Dear Gandalf,

I followed as per documentaion for installing Cactid and moved "Cactid" generated during Make to /usr/bin and configured " Cactid.conf" as per my database information and stored the folder " cacti-cactid-0.8.6i " in /usr/local/cacti-0.8.06i/.

Now set the path for poller in Settings as : /usr/bin/cactid and poller is set as to run "Cactid" and saved .

But i find no change in action and still graphs are not generated and it shows nan on all graphs.

I did change Data input methods scrips path as
/usr/bin/perl <path_cacti>/scripts/diskfree.sh <partition> where it was earlier

perl <path_cacti?/scripts/diskfree.sh <partition>

Fine. I have changed only for those which where already perl path was set for some of the Script command configurations only . Rest not touched like SNMP query etc.

Please guide me what else to do.

Please move cactid.conf to /etc/cactid.conf.

Hi,

I tried as per your suggestion. Moved " cactid.conf " to /etc/bin and " cactid " is stored at /usr/bin and rest all concerned files are stored at /usr/local/cacti-0.8.6i/cacti-cactid0.8.6/.

Fine my poller path in settings is set as " /usr/bin/cactid ". Fine??

Now still it was not coming. I reffered some thread here and downloaded cacti/poller.php and cacti/lib/poller.php and overwritten in respective directories in my system.

Now after that when I run poller.php manually, it gives following error. I want to run cactid successfully. Please give me a clear picture about perfect installation and configuration procedure. Is my poller path in settings correct???

Wrong. Please move cactid.conf to /etc not to /etc/bin. But the error above must be fixed first

After running above mentioned command i found that file exists as belw. Then I located the file in /usr/local/lib.

[root@cacti lib]# rpm -q net-snmp-libs

/usr/local/lib/libnetsnmp.so.15
/usr/local/lib/libnetsnmp.so.15.0.0

What i did is copied the file from /usr/local/lib to /usr/lib/ and /lib directly as belw.

[root@cacti lib]# cp /usr/local/lib/libnetsnmp.so.15 /usr/lib/
cp: overwrite `/usr/lib/libnetsnmp.so.15'? y
[root@cacti lib]# cp /usr/local/lib/libnetsnmp.so.15 /lib

Now I ran ldd command as belw and found its not giving error,but found where i copied.
