Graph Export ignores User setting (?)

Post by andren »

We want to export only a few graphs (FTP remote host via PHP) and created a user for that purpose. User has permissions to view three graphs only. Graph permission were set up with 'Graph Permissions (By Graph)', and 'User Has Rights to List View' and 'User Has Rights to Preview View' were selected.

We selected this user in the 'Graph Export' tab, but cacti seems to ignore the user information. It rather exports all graphs, not matter what the access restrictions for the 'export user'. (It seems to export admin's/all graphs).

Cacti version is 0.8.6j.
I tried the patched graph_export.php from http://forums.cacti.net/download.php?id=8421, it yields the same result.

Could be a wrong setting? (Which?)
Or is this a cacti bug?

The bugs around the graph export are still being worked out - The Witness is on the trail of the problem, but I would guess hasn't had time to finish it up yet (nor have I had any time to try debugging on my own to help out). What you're seeing with that different graph_export.php file is exactly what I saw, so you're in good company :>

Yeah, that sounds exactly like what I thought...
