Host Status

Post by amitsh »

Friends,

I am in a task to monitor close to 100 hosts and approximately 20,000 data sources assigned to them. Currently, i have finished adding 70 hosts and 13,000 datasources.

Through the help topics from forums, i have already experimented different versions of OS/cacti/applications supporting and now stuck on cactih. Till today morning, everything was running fine except, if i add more host now, they remain on "unkown" status and not "up", sequentially i am not able to get the graphs for defined host.

All past added hosts running perfectly fine with expected outputs; Help appreciated in advance.

How much memory have you defined in your php.ini? Double it.

Also, need some logs to help explain what is going on.

I edited in past php.ini and chaged it to 64 MB, now doubled it to 128MB.

Do i need to do any further modifications?, i guess/ it may be bcoz of SNMP timeouts either (I got few SNMP timeout errors in log file)
