cactid on Windows

Post by Headbanger »

I recently installed cacti and trying to get cactid to work, because polling using cmd.php takes to long.

i downloaded the latest cactid-binaries and configured it like documented.
but when i run "php c:\cacti\poller.php" i get the attached output.

and last line "Waiting on 9/9 pollers." is a endless loop.

------------------------------

C:\cactid>php c:\cacti\poller.php

Content-type: text/html

in addition starting cactid like "c:/cactid/cactid.exe 20 20" just brings out the following output

CACTID: Using cactid config file [cactid.conf]
CACTID: ☻☻

--------------------------------

in the Cacti-log i can see

cactid on windows

Post by Headbanger »

i found the problem ....
i inserted the read ip-address of the system into the cactid.conf file.
after changing this to 127.0.0.1 cactid is running.

This fixed the cactid problem for me, however it still does this with cmd.php. changing localhost to 127.0.0.1 in includes/config.php did not fix cmd.php

I downgraded to PHP 5.2.0 and I believe this fixed it.
