Attachments would be nice... and they are necessary.

I completely agree, this would be a very good idea. But does phpBB support it?

just my $0.02 worth.

I have done the mod on a private message board at work. I have to say it works really well and would be a great asset with the new import/export feature of Cacti 8.4. It's a little harder to mod if you are using a custom theme, but since this site uses the default theme it's a straight forward conversion. The only downside is if users start posting large volumes of attachments, you can chew through hard drive space in a hurry.

I see no reason why this could not be added. I was mainly thinking for screenshots, but having the ability to attach XML files would be an invaluable tool. I waisted too much time on a computer science project tonight, but I will try and add this to the board tomorrow if I get the chance.

Looks ok however on topics list I have one missing icon (that probably indicates an attachment inside) - I see just a red cross instead of http://www.raxnet.net/board/images/icon_clip.gif icon.
