New install, CentOS 4.4, PHP 4.3.9, cacti 0.8.6j, rrdtool 1.2.19
When I run poller.php manually it seems to work OK (no errors evident) but even though it says it is putting files in the rra directory, the directory is empty. Here is an excerpt from my cacti.log:
02/14/2007 12:47:18 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] DEBUG: SQL Exec: "replace into settings (name,value) values ('stats_poller','Time:1.0893 Method:cmd.php Processes:1 Threads:N/A Hosts:3 HostsPerProcess:3 DataSources:13 RRDsProcessed:11')"

Looking at my httpd error log, I'm seeing some problems, but not sure how to resolve, for example:
[client 10.10.10.10] PHP Warning: main(): Failed opening './lib/html_tree.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/html/cacti/graph.php on line 34, referer: http://20.20.20.20/cacti/graph.php?acti ... 1171435350
[client 10.10.10.10] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: rrdtool_function_graph() in /var/www/html/cacti/include/top_graph_header.php on line 179, referer: http://20.20.20.20/cacti/graph.php?acti ... 1171435350
I need a push in the right direction... I think I'm close to getting this working!
TIA,
- Scott

Getting closer
OK, I found the problem... the path to rrdtool was not correct. I have that fixed, and now I am getting rrd files in the /rra directory.
Now I am fighting some type of PHP problem. When I try to view graphs, I get the following:
Warning: main(./lib/html_tree.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /var/www/html/cacti/graph_view.php on line 29
Warning: main(): Failed opening './lib/html_tree.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/html/cacti/graph_view.php on line 29
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: find_first_folder_url() in /var/www/html/cacti/include/top_graph_header.php on line 85
I've searched this forum and google and am not getting any clues... can someone push me in the right direction?
Thanks,
- Scott

Figured out the problem. It was the fact that Security Enhanced Linux (SELinux) was enabled.
This thread explains the problem and the fix:

Hopefully my posts will help others, as I could not find this info by searching the forums.
