old history data
Yes, being able to import the data from a mrtg rrd file to these ones would be good. tho it may not be a cacti problem, the answer may lies in the rrdtool suite, assuming i can convert from the old log files !!!!

Re: old history data
MRTG will convert the old logfiles itself. Update to a recent (last 4 years I think) MRTG, then check in the manual about rrdtool integration. MRTG will convert your logs into rrd files by itself when you add the two lines needed to the top of the config file.Hiney wrote:Yes, being able to import the data from a mrtg rrd file to these ones would be good. tho it may not be a cacti problem, the answer may lies in the rrdtool suite, assuming i can convert from the old log files !!!!

Then you can look at lvm's guide for using foreign RRD files in cacti...
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)
