Dynamically comparing arbitrary graphs

Post by rr »

It would be interesting to be able to compare two arbitrary
graphs for correlation of trends in different data sources.

For instance you would select any two graphs,
cacti would calculate a scale factor with which the two
data series would be visible on the same axis, and display them in a
new graph. (This would violate correct scale on the Y axis but
it would still be very useful). Now you often scroll up/down or
select pairs of graphs in the list view to see if they correlate.

This is a feature we would love to see. Any plans on something like this in the future?

There is a new Agregate plugin that would at least start you off in the correct direction. Test it out and then provide feedback to Gandolf.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
