Displaying Graph Upper Limit

Is there any to display the Graph's upper limit value in the actual graph?

I want to add that as a comment so people looking at the graphs know what the max value is. The kicker is that this value can change per device so I cannot simply add a graph value.

I want the creator of the graph to only have to fill in the upper limit value and get both the upper limit set and that value displayed on the graph.

(Hopefully that makes sense).

Do you want to define a "MAX value" for graphs? Without auto-scaling? This is possible at time of graph generation (or manually by changing the "Upper Limit" from "Graph Templates"). But its static by definition.

No, I understand how to set a max value. What I want to do is have that number displayed as a comment or something in the legend of the graph. That way users looking at the graph know what the absolute max value is.

The max value will change from graph to graph so I can't just add a comment that has a set number. I would also prefer the graph creator to only have to set the max value. I don't want them to have to enter data for a comment as well.

Basically I want to enter a cooment that looks something like:

Max Value |current_graph_max_value|

and have |current_graph_max_value| replaced with the max value of the graph.

Sorry for asking again. Do you want to print the "current graph's peak value"? E.g. current peak for Inbound Traffic? Or do you want to print e.g. the interface's max "physical" ifSpeed, given e.g. at time of graph creation?

Not quite.

I want to print the maximum value that i have set the graph to. The graph may have a 0 for the current value that its in (in this case that would mean there is no toner left) but I would still want to print a 69 (the amount of toner when there is a new cartridge). The 69 is also what i would set the upper limit of the graph to be.

So at time of graph generation, you want to provide that maximum value manually. It will not be derived in any way from the device (e.g. by snmpget'ting any OID). This value should be stored within cacti/mysql (as it would not be possible to store it with rrd files, AFAIK) and be used by a Graph Template. Correct?
Last question: this is required for Data Input Methods or for Data Queries?
