Is there an alternate way to create: graphs and graph tree

Post by carlo69 »

Hi,

I just installed cacti. To graphically see the temperature in many of our site locations. We have about 180 hub room locations. Is there a way to script the addition of the graph tree and graphs?

How is that data tree stored? Would it be possible to create the entries through mysql queries? If thats the case that could be scripted...

All of the data in Cacti, excluding the graphs, are stored in the MySQL database. I believe the tree's are created using javascript. So yes, it could be possible to script the tree creation. you might want to search the forum first, in case someone else has already done this.
