Undefined index in setup.php after update 0.3.0 to 0.3.1

Post by rdleeuw »

I just updated thold from 0.3.0 to 0.3.1. When I run poller.php manually I see the following error:

Code: Select all

Notice: Undefined index: in D:\inetpub\wwwroot\cacti\plugins\thold\setup.php on line 77
Also when I try to auto-create thresholds I get the following errors:

Code: Select all

Notice: Undefined index: thold_created in d:\inetpub\wwwroot\cacti\lib\functions.php on line 196

Notice: Undefined index: thold_created in d:\inetpub\wwwroot\cacti\lib\functions.php on line 220

Notice: Undefined index: thold_created in d:\inetpub\wwwroot\cacti\lib\functions.php on line 222
How can I solve this problem? Seems to me something is wrong in the cacti database?

Something is wrong with the data being reported back to the thold plugin from Cacti. The array structure doesn't seem to be right in your case, but I can't reproduce it on my side. I will see if I can figure it out.

If it helps any I have this exact same problem. Everything else in Thold seems to work fine but the auto create thresholds function (and i get this same error message about the undefined index: thold_created).

I was at Cacti 0.8.6i and Thold 0.3.0 I believe prior to this, and everything was working properly. I upgraded Cacti to 0.8.6j, then installed the new plugin architecture and Thold 0.3.1.

Everything else seems to be working.. I can manually create thresholds that work fine, and I am still getting alerts via email for thresholds that are exceeded, devices that are down, etc. I suspect these issues come from upgrading Thold and using database data that was created from the previous Thold version, and since it wasn't a NEW install the right database structures might not have been created - just speculating here.

If there's data I can provide from my Cacti instance please drop me a line and I'll try to provide it.

Thanks..
