Backup of Cacti

Post by caherrera »

Hi, I have two questions, The first question is how to make a Backup for cacti, to have a support of a database, rrd data and a tree graphs.

The other question, if I upgrade a cacti, how I do that the historical information doesn't loss, I saw that the upgrade of cacti is a new installation where the older archives was renamed.

Perform mysqldump for MySQL (this includes tree settings) and a copy of rrd files. When changing architecture, you will nedd a rrdxport instead

A "normal" update keeps rrd files and mysql settings. I've performed this lots of times
