SNMP-Timeout Riverstone 8600

Post by fbrockerhoff »

Hello,

I want to create graphs for the physical interfaces of a riverstone switch. But I think when fetching the SNMP-Indexes all virtual interfaces are listed, so I get a timeout.

System: RS 8600 - Riverstone Networks, Inc. Firmware Version: 9.4.1.1 PROM Version: prom-2.0.1.8

Do you have any hints for me to get this thing working?

Regards,

Hello,

here are some additional information. The OID-Tree looks like

Code: Select all

47 up down ethernet-csmacd 1522 Physical port: et.2.15 100000000
0002852756E0
48 up down ethernet-csmacd 1522 Physical port: et.2.16 100000000
0002852756E0
69 up up ethernet-csmacd 1536 Physical port: gi.4.2 1000000000
0002852756E0
513 up 7 135 0 VLAN: DEFAULT 0 ""
514 up up softwareLoopback 1848 IP interface: lo0 0 00000000837A
515 up up 142 1500 IP interface: en0 0 192.168.001.001 255.255.255.000
0002852756E1
516 up up 161 1500 LACP Smart TRUNK: st.1 3 0002852756E0
517 up up 136 0 VLAN: 6_management 0 ""
518 up up 136 0 VLAN: 8_native 0 ""
I think the problem is that the used snmprealwalk-function does a complete walk and returns all interfaces - physical or virtual. I didn't find any possibility to get only all interfaces up to index 499. As long this is a php-included function there will be no solution for this problem, am I right?

Falk
