Hi Finally Cacti is running ...
The thing was that the tar ball is way better to install than those rpms in CentOS but at one page i found other rpms to install so i hade to install cacti but from another repository for CentOS 4.
i hade some problems with my firefox and hade to install firefox again but now cacti is working .....
well the question is now i am monitoring an cisco router but i get only data on the cpu usage and at one interface even if athe other interfaces is operational ...
will look thru the manual to see if i find anything ...
finally when i try to clear the cacti log it happens nothing how do i suppose to clear the logs ????

That requires write access to the file from the webserver's user. Personally, I do not like it and delete the file manually and each day running crontab. If only ping works, neither snmp or telnet/ssh are running, you're a poor man. I'm quite sure, that linksys should support snmp, but you need to know the community string ...mnilsson@udcom.net wrote:How do i monitor when only ping will work or can it work by looking at an certain port on the linksys routers ???
