Cacti not showing any grapgh, centOs 4.4

Post by mnilsson@udcom.net »

Hi Finally Cacti is running ...

The thing was that the tar ball is way better to install than those rpms in CentOS but at one page i found other rpms to install so i hade to install cacti but from another repository for CentOS 4.

i hade some problems with my firefox and hade to install firefox again but now cacti is working ..... :P

well the question is now i am monitoring an cisco router but i get only data on the cpu usage and at one interface even if athe other interfaces is operational ...

will look thru the manual to see if i find anything ...

finally when i try to clear the cacti log it happens nothing how do i suppose to clear the logs ????

That requires write access to the file from the webserver's user. Personally, I do not like it and delete the file manually and each day running crontab. You may prefer logrotate

If only ping works, neither snmp or telnet/ssh are running, you're a poor man. I'm quite sure, that linksys should support snmp, but you need to know the community string ...

Hi

The most basic routers that our clients have do not support SNMP as far as i can se and i use to ping them to see if they are alive.

Understood. So you only want to use Advanced Ping? You may find it in the Scripts and Templates Forum
