SNMP error?
I can't get the windows server monitoring to work
Configs:
Linux"Slackware" + Cacti
IP x.x.146.192 (Webserver<appache> IP)
(Multiple IP's)
Windows XP 64 bit, windows firewall enabled + SNMP windows component
IP x.x.146.206
(Multiple IP's)
Actions taken so far:
1)
* Installed snmp
* configured snmp like http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324263
* added IP of the webserver tot the windows firewall "netsh firewall add portopening all 161:162 snmp enable custom xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/32
"
tried to add the windows server -> snmp error
2)
* reinstalled snmp component
* configured snmp like http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324263
tried to add the windows server -> snmp error
3)
* restarted server
tried to add the windows server -> snmp error
I have added screens of the config of the SNMP service and how I try to add the server.
I am doing something wrong.
But I don't know what
Thanks in advanced for the help

1) your IP is public in the screenshot.
2) you don't need to configure the snmp trap stuff
3) Try running the snmpwalk from your cacti server against that x.146.206 box, I bet it doesn't work. Check for firewalls blocking snmp traffic (port 161).

What Downed Host Detection method are you using? If ping, switch to icmp (from udp).
So looks like you've got two problems with Monty:
1) Cacti considers it down
2) No snmp response from the cacti->Monty.

From the commandline, type: php -m and paste the output. You might have forgotten to enable the php_snmp module. Because if the *.192 box can get snmp info from the *.206 box, then so should cacti...
