in/out bits (64-bit counters) not graphing

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone else was or had an issue with the 64-bit counters not graphing? When attempting to utilize the in/out bits 64 bit counter, I get a blank graph. Is there a fix for this?

64bit counters work with SNMP V2c only. But not all devices support them (correctly)

Does net-snmp-5.2.3_3 on FreeBSD 6.1 support 64-bit counters?

This question should better been asked at net-snmp-users mailing list. deduced from the version number, I suppose it should. Just try it, e.g. on localhost

Okay, I see this

SNMPv2-MIB::sysORID.1 = OID: IF-MIB::ifMIB

in the output of smnpwalk.
But the graphs of CPU/Disk usage work fine, the only problem is that interface statistics return zero values.
There are some errors in cacti logfile, such as

I tried v3 and v2, but failed.

So it seems, that your local snmp client code is able to send V2 and V3 requests, but the target seems not to be able to answer. Either, it is not configured for this or even not able to answer

hmm.
the remote side is running net-snmp on freebsd and snmpv2 and smnpv3 are configured there.
