Graph debug mode - Times out

Post by tritzell »

SNMP is working, pulling. while sql is writing, but
My Graphs are not displaying. just get an empty picture holder, and when i got to *Turn On Graph Debug Mode, My server times out.

i used to be able to use debug mode for graphing. Take the script and get a graph with no data.

(my RRD directory is correct and so are the permissions!)

I have installed and reinstalled with Beta installer with still no results.
is IIS 6.0 to blame ? I have been gettin errors with w3wp.exe (the iis process)

Any other trouble shooting techniques you can give me.

any other directories i should monitor with filemon?

please help! (its really important that i get this thing running)

1) Wouldn't hurt to run a chkdsk c: /f.

2) So you've ran FileMon and it didn't reveal anything getting denied?

3) Another debugging method you can enable is in php.ini (you'll have to look around what to enable). Then it'll log all php related errors to file.

4) Make sure you only have one copy of cygwin1.dll on your system too.

5) Using the latest version of rrdtool?

ran it with no errors

no denies

turned everything on. and logged it to a file

found 1 copy!
one in the rrdtool directory
one in the cygwin directory
should i just delete the one in the rrdtool directory and call it a day. how much of an impact would this extra dll have?

5) Using the latest version of rrdtool?
im useing the rrdtool version that comes with the beta intall. That should work just fine?

If you used the installer, then you've got Cygwin installed. There should no no dll files in your rrdtool/cactid directories.

Post a filemon log of when you try to enable graph debugging.

Did you copy all of those other files into your rrdtool directory? SECUR32.DLL, MSVCRT20.dll, Nwnp32.dll, etc? Because those are not suppose to be in there. Download the cygwin build of rrdtool from cacti's website http://www.cacti.net/downloads/rrdtool/win32/
