It shows, that there are 5 lines of output currently in there. All items found here will usually we used to produce rrdtool statements (create, update). So the number may change from time to time. After a poller's run it should be empty. If it had been huge, this would indicate some problem reading out the table and processing the entries. But this seems not to be the case.
So I would advise to read my "NaN Debugging Howto" (see signature). It performs a step by step walkthrough from data retrieval (snmp, script), poller_output updating, mapping and rrdtool updating. Please post the result of each step
