Cacti Discovery - No Results

Can anyone help me find out why i might not be getting any results with the discovery in cacti? I have entered my subnet correctly but not getting any results. This has been left 24hrs for polling but with no effect.

What do you get if you run it manually.

I tried php -q findhosts.php, nothing actually appears after i hit enter apart from the usual # prompt, should i see anything happening at all on the screen when i run the command?

Oh, forgot to put the debug flag in there.

after that, you can also force it to run immediately
