Poller is missing template

Post by laurent »

Hi All,

I'm having issue with one of wmi template , this is the dns one from Devil Sun. Most of the time the graph is not updated . Results from the command line is fine.

I ran the poller in debug mode and noticed something :

Here everything looks fine : "POLLER: Poller[0] CACTI2RRD: d:/rrdtool/rrdtool.exe update d:\wwwroot\mrtg\cacti\rra\xxx01_soa_queries_3040.rrd --template total_queries:notify_queries:update_queries:tkeynego_queries:standard_queries:a_queries:ns_queries:soa_queries:mx_queries:ptr_queries:srv_queries:all_queries:ixfr_queries:axfr_queries:other_queries 1164203912:351091:584:1641:0:348866:218838:4062:2716:6405:72630:2321:197:536:2:41159"

but most of the time, I end up with that : "POLLER: Poller[0] CACTI2RRD: d:/rrdtool/rrdtool.exe update d:\wwwroot\mrtg\cacti\rra\xxx01_soa_queries_3040.rrd --template 1164203318:U" , notice that the full template after "template" is missing

I re-applied the template but no joy ...

I'm using cacti 0.8.6h with catid ver i and I'll appreciate any comment regarding that matter , all my other scripts work fine except that one

Thanks for your help , rgds , Laurent

Please try the link on "NaN Debugging" in my signature. Please pay attention to the runtime of your polling script

Thanks Reinhard for your reply ,

I had already check your NaN doc , but no joy ...

The weird thing is , if I wake up the WMI connection between Cacti and the remote host , Cacti will start graphing . What I mean by "wake up" is running the perl script from the command line while the poller is running. I did create a schedulled task that will run the script every one minute from dos prompt in order to keep the link up... Looks like it's doing the trick ... weird weird

Thanks

Did you try to run ethereal/wireshark or the like for working/non-working examples? If you need help on reading those, I offer my help
