Converting Cacti to multi-language ?

Hello,

In my specific line of work multilanguage apps is a must ( european webhosting provider - have to have French,German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian).
I've installed cacti and liked it very much (so the company president).
the only concern is that it's english only.
The standard way to convert is to extract all texts into separate php lang file with the hash, something like

lang['About']="Network management bla-bla-bla...";

and then load langauge file dynamically.
Graphic buttons could be a bit of showstoppers in that case though.
I wonder if anybody tried to do that for Cacti yet?

So I guess I shouldn't bother then, just sit tight... However I haven't seen that anywhere on roadmap/todo list... Is there any way to confirm that?
Any approximate timeframe for when it will come out?
Another thought that just occured to me - along with the new version installation it'd be nice to have a patch that does that upgrade (just like linux kernel version bump-up patch) because even right now my isntalled version is quite different from distributed - plugins, patches whatnot wouldn't want to loose that all ...
