Device not updating equipment type in Cacti.

Post by opt8low »

I am having an issue where I have changed a couple of cards in a Cisco7206 and they will not show up in the New Graphs for that device. Just shows the old card type. Going from a ATM/DS3 card to an ethernet card.

Do I have to delete the device and rediscover it? I have looked in the software but I have not found a way to have it see this new card.

I am most likely missing something, as usual. Never really claimed to be that smart. :o

Hi

can you try to reload the "SNMP - Interface statistics" data query ?
You just have to hit the green circle.

I'll one up you there. I recently changed from a 7206 VXR NPE-300 to a 7206 with a G1 card. I tried to just update the interfaces which worked and only listed the three GigEth ports on the G1 and refuses to list the Sub-Interfaces. It will list the IP Addresses but does not recognise the standard sub-interfaces.

I've tried this with a standard 'Cisco Router' Template and the more specific '7200 template'. Not having any joy anywhere.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Cheers.

Drew, are you using snmpv2 to poll the interfaces? If not, change to v2 and then refresh your interfaces again.
