Thold Locking Up

I recently went from a standard cacti install to the plugin version. I have reports, thold and monitor working and all of my old data is working and poller is working properly. I can autocreate a threshold for any given host and it is even alerting me properly. However, if I want to change settings for an individual host I'm having troubles. When I click on the RRD ID from the Thresholds page under Management in the Console tab it starts to load and then just sits there. I can close the window and after about 5 minutes I can open a new browser window and login to cacti. So basically thold is working but I can't click to edit any of my individual thresholds because it locks up the system. Any idea why this would be happening? It just sits there withh the IE flag waving.

I am running a fresh copy of 0.8.6g with latest patches and the latest thold on a Windows XP SP2 machine.

After doing some research it looks like it's the rrd.php library that is causing the problem. When I took it out of the include statement in thold.php the page loaded but of course it had errors. As soon as I include the rrd.php file that is when it locks up.

I removed the graph image from thold.php and it's working fine now.

I am experiencing this as well where the page hangs when trying to load. I tried remarking out the following line but it did not help:

<img src="<?php echo $config["url_path"]; ?>graph_image.php?local_graph_id=<?php echo $graph ?>&rra_id=0&graph_start=-32400&graph_height=100&graph_width=300&graph_nolegend=true">

Is there another line I should remove or another fix for this?

That is the line I removed and it started working. I replaced it with a
&nbsp; within the <TD></TD> tags. I actually ended up deleting the lines completely on my install. I believe it's around line 131.

Yea tried that and no help. Oddly enough I managed to get the page to come up once or twice after trying over and over again. WHen it came up it still had the graph displayed at the top of the page even though I had remaked out that line which is what made me think I wasn't removing the right line. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Well I went back and instead of just remarking out the line I replaced it with &nbsp and that seems to be working!

Ya, for some unknown reason, rrdtool locks up on that image, but its not easily reproducible (doesn't lock up on my test 2003 boxes). Maybe you can play around with the settings to see if you can find the exact thing that is killing it.

I am on a Win2000 box so that could be something. I'll keep playing and post anythying further I find.

This has been a problem in the past when you have flawed graph logic. I provided some patch information to Tobi about this issue some time ago. What version of RRDtool are you using.

Oh, it happens most frequently when you are building a custom graph using the user interface. Kinda sucks, I found that it occurred while I was building Stack graphs real time with live data.

When it happens, you must restart Apache/IIS

I'm using RRDtool 1.2.15 (Installed with the Beta cacti Windows installer kit) In my case it seemed to affect everything from custom graphs to things like Advanced Ping. I restarted IIS dozens of times and would get it to come up maybe one out of twenty tries or so. But at least with it removed it comes up reliably now.
