THOLD current value missing

Post by simonuk1 »

Current Value is not showing up in the threshold list page.

I have looked in the database and all the entries under the lastread are all empty.

The current value for the datasource/graphs shows up correctly and also shows up the current value when you go into edit the threshold template.

No emails are sent as a result of this.

Is there a function calue / debug option to find out where the value is being missed.

Anyone know whats up, from the code I can see it gets this calue from $currentval that it updates into the database, but its not doing it.

This is on an XP box, using cacti version h - with thold version 3.
Cheers

Si

After battling to get THOLD to to come up in the web page and finally getting that working I am now experiencing this issue as well. One thing I have noticed though is the current value does seem to show for Data Sources that have only one data source item (such as a single OID query). The ones that have two or more items all have the cuurent value of blank. Is there some way to tell THOLD which value from a data source it needs to grab? I ran the THOLD debug command and it also shows the values as not being there.

Thanks!

THOLD not showing current value

Post by danwdoo »

Based on the screenshot it looks like THOLD can't figure out which data source item to pull the current value from and I can't find a way to tell it. My Data sources are named via query for things like the C: drive but threshhold doesn't seem to recognize that and so fails to pull anything. Hope someone can make sense of this.

Thanks!

This problem has actually been solved in the SVN version (with a lot of other issues) but its not ready for prime time just yet.

Has anyone got a fix for this ? I know it's in the latest SVN (which is not ready for release), but it would be nice to have to complete a fully working install.

Thanks

THOLD values missing workaround

Post by danwdoo »

I found a workaround. The issue seemed to occur when pulling multiple values from a single query that were not all being put on the same graph. In my case I had one graph for network performance numbers and another for errors though I had been pulling everything from one SNMP query. I simply separated my query into 2 so that everything on one graph came from one query and the rest from another. THOLD was then able to find all the values just fine.
