Strange problem with ping.pl

Post by Damien »

I can run the ping.pl command that it issues, and it returns the data.

However, for the cronjob, it does not output any data, and it shows up as NaN. If I just run cmd.php, it adds the information to the database, but not during the cron.

This is a brand new install of 0.8.3a, and I have everything else working great. I didn't have this problem with 0.6*

Ping

Are you seeing the results in the log file? Is it showing N:U?
Do you have the max value set correctly for the ds?

Here's my log

09/30/2003 3:40 PM - CMD: /usr/local/bin/rrdtool update /lud/www/cacti/rra/ping_65.rrd --template ping N:U
09/30/2003 3:40 PM - CMD: /usr/local/bin/rrdtool update /lud/www/cacti/rra/ping_66.rrd --template ping N:U
09/30/2003 3:40 PM - CMD: /usr/local/bin/rrdtool update /lud/www/cacti/rra/ping_67.rrd --template ping N:U
09/30/2003 3:40 PM - CMD: /usr/local/bin/rrdtool update /lud/www/cacti/rra/ping_68.rrd --template ping N:U
09/30/2003 3:40 PM - CMD: /usr/local/bin/rrdtool update /lud/www/cacti/rra/ping_69.rrd --template ping N:U
09/30/2003 3:40 PM - CMD: /usr/local/bin/rrdtool update /lud/www/cacti/rra/ping_70.rrd --template ping N:U

I used the template for pings, so I'm assuming it's setup correctly.
