Install Problems...
Yes, I have read the install guide, searched the forums, and racked my brain!
alritey, I have the rpath cacti virtual machine appliance--Here is what I did:
-Created 'plugins' folder under the cacti root folder
-uploaded weathermap.tar and untared it as the folder called 'weathermap' under the plugins folder
-chowned output to my cacti user
-added
$plugins = array();
$plugins[] = 'weathermap';
to cacti's config.php.
I next try to add realm permissons, but the permissions dont show up!
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Yes.
Yes. The folder + all files under the weathermap folder are owned by the cacti user.

Did you chmod them as well?
Do you have the reports plugin installed?

Re: Install Problems...
If you had to add these lines, I think you skipped the step of installing the Plugin Architecture. The PA patches add that line, and that directory for you.anapologetos wrote:Yes, I have read the install guide, searched the forums, and racked my brain!

Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

i had the issue with weathermap not showing up in realms.
it turns out to be that on installation the directory created under plugins is php-weathermap-082. changing it to weathermap fixes the issue, and the icon tab pops up. i guess otherwise cacti doesnt recognise the plugin.
howie can you confirm ?

Yes, that is correct. The name of the directory must match the name you put in the plugins[] list.mpb wrote:i had the issue with weathermap not showing up in realms.
