How about a Next Poll TimeStamp up near the menu, and visible no matter what you're viewing at the time. Maybe put it on the same line as the Login link.
Many times when I'm working on a new template I'm trying to beat the next poll cycle, so it would be kinda of nice to have a visible reference when the next cycle is going to run.
Now the ultimate would be an actual countdown timer to next poll, but that might be a much more difficult to deal with than just a time stamp.
