Setting up a windows data source?

Post by brandor »

Hey all.

I've been using cacti for a while now to monitor some linux hosts, routers and switches. I've been wanting to start watching a few windows hosts as well but am running into trouble.

I've got the windows snmp service installed and running on my boxes, but I can't get cacti to talk to them. I've made sure the firewall is off and the service is running and all the simple stuff (I think) but just can't get it going.

Are there any how-tos for setting up snmp on windows so it will work with cacti? Anything at all to help?

Thanks for the help!
