If cacti could cope with daylight savings that would be nice, not a very important feature as it only happens twice a year.
But still, for us living in Norway and other countries affected whenever we go from summertime to wintertime we turn the clock back a full hour leaving us with having 0200 to 0300 two times in a row, and same going from winter to summer we suddenly skip a full hour ahead leaving a gap in the graphs.
I've seen people using mrtg having solved this issue, although I have no idea exactly how they did that...
Best regards,
Rune Nilssen

Re: Handling of daylight savings
This was problem for us in the US as well, so we just set that one server's time zone to be GMT so that it was no longer affected by the DST changesRune Nilssen wrote:If cacti could cope with daylight savings that would be nice, not a very important feature as it only happens twice a year.

Yea, I was also testing a new rrdupdate on demand plugin for cacti over the weekend and started thinking about this. In the fall you loose a real hour of work, in the spring, it just looks that way....
Can somebody post to Tobi's forum and see what the recommendation is? I am thinking that GMT might be the answer...

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
