I am having install problems under FC5. I think I just don't understand the new permission structure. My server was upgraded many times from one of the original RH versions. Finally I did a new install to clean up. I installed cacti from YUM and I find it in /usr/share/cacti. The Mysql database is set up and the user exists. When I browse to www.myserver.com/cacti or www.myserver.com/cacti/install I get 'You don't have permission to access /cacti on this server'.
I have done a chmod -R cactiuser rra log. I obviously need to do more.
install problem FC5 from RPM

Check out the /etc/httpd/conf.d/cacti.conf file and make sure there is not any restictions that are limiting it to just localhost.
FYI, I develope on FC5, but I don't have Cacti installed from yum.
